Your friendly Milan Tours guide meets you at your hotel lobby. We provide comfortable, air-conditioned transport with cold water bottles provided.

07:30 AM – Madu River Boat Safari (Duration: 1.5 hours)

Board a traditional boat and cruise through the peaceful Madu River. This UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is home to over 300 species of plants and animals. Watch for water monitors, cormorants, kingfishers, and if you’re lucky, even crocodiles basking on the banks. Stop at a small island to visit a cinnamon plantation and see how authentic Ceylon cinnamon is harvested and processed.

9:30 AM – Turtle Hatchery Visit (Duration: 45 minutes)

Visit one of the region’s respected turtle conservation centers. Learn about the five species of sea turtles that nest on Sri Lankan beaches. See baby turtles being cared for before release, and if the timing is right, you might even witness a turtle release into the ocean. Meet rescued adult turtles and understand the threats they face.

11:30 AM – Travel to Galle (30 minutes)

Scenic coastal drive to historic Galle city.

12:00 PM – Lunch Break (Duration: 1 hour)

Step into history as you enter the 300-year-old Galle Fort. This UNESCO World Heritage Site perfectly preserves Dutch colonial architecture within massive stone ramparts. Walk along the fort walls with ocean views, visit the iconic Galle Lighthouse, explore charming boutiques and cafes, see the Dutch Reformed Church, and discover hidden courtyards. Your guide shares stories of spice traders, colonial battles, and how Galle became one of Asia’s most important ports.
